The programme aims to provide a thorough training in interior design to equip students with the necessary technical skills and knowledge in realizing concepts into practice and prepare themselves for entry to appropriate professions or further studies in the interior design industry. The programme covers a wide scope of interior design aspects from fundamental design and rendering skills to specific space planning, material specifications as well as business practices and portfolio presentation and communication for student’s innovative and creative learning and expression.

This course aims to introduce the students to the basic drawing and painting skills, techniques and concepts with an emphasis on the understanding and application of visual languages for artistic expression. Survey of art history from pre-historic to modern art periods will be investigated to equip students with the basic knowledge and perspective to develop student’s critical thinking and research skills in the analysis, illustration and interpretation of specific art concepts and approaches. Application and enquiry of different art mediums and painting styles will also be explored to enhance and strengthen student’s ability and concepts for the development of individual’s art creation styles and expression.

The Chinese Folk arts, rooted in and reflective of the cultural life of communities, represent the very essence of traditional Chinese civilizations. These works of art not only possess decorative and practical values, but also express folk artists' wishes and emotions, which reflect the aesthetics and enrich the life of the general mass within diverse historical and cultural contexts. There are various types of folk arts with a broad range of themes. Popular ones include New Year pictures, paper-cutting, shadow puppetry, toys, ceramics, printing and dyeing, embroidery, knitting, sculpture, some of which are on the List of World Intangible Cultural Heritage. Their inheritance and preservation are crucial to cultural diversity and sustainable development among different communities.
This programme aims to examine the origin and development of intangible cultural heritage and raise the awareness of its conservation. Throughout the study of arts and crafts, the students will get a more comprehensive picture of transmission, inheritance and cultural significance of Chinese folk arts, providing the basis for revitalizing traditions with innovative approaches. The students will also be cultivated appreciation for art so that they could thrive on better quality of their own works. Moreover, local folk arts will be discussed in order to enhance their aesthetic experiences while encouraging them to explore the history and culture of Hong Kong.

This programme aims to equip those who have the need to create online content at work to achieve better publicity effects for products or brands (for example, in marketing or mass communication). It is also for those who intend to develop personal brands, online stores, or join start-ups, to effectively master the basic knowledge and application of software from graphic design, video editing to web design. Through classroom practice, students are enabled to design coherent promotional works.
