83 Higher Diploma students and graduates have been awarded scholarships from the Hong Kong SAR Government under the "Self-Financing Post-Secondary Scholarship Scheme". Among them, Vincent Wong, a student of HD in Computer Game Development, has received the Outstanding Performance Scholarship in recognition of his good academic performance.

Sharing his joy of receiving the scholarship, Vincent said, “I didn’t study ICT in secondary school, however, I am fortunate to have met passionate lecturers who help me learn programming and computer knowledge from scratch. Whenever I encounter difficulties in my study, my supportive lecturers teach me patiently step by step. Even at times of online teaching, the lecturers taught me one on one via Zoom and replied my countless emails. I am really grateful.” Vincent has received a conditional offer from the Bachelor of Science (Honours) Scheme in Computing of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and is moving one step closer to his dream of becoming a programmer.

Of the awardees, 28 receive the "Outstanding Performance Scholarships" for their outstanding academic achievement, while eight students receive the "Best Progress Awards" for their significant academic progress and improvement.  Seven students are awarded the “Talent Development Scholarships” for their achievements or talent in non-academic areas. The other 40 students receive the “Reaching Out Awards” and the “Endeavour Scholarships” respectively.
