1 Course Description:
This course is dedicated to figure drawing, a cornerstone of Western art, aiming to enhance students' understanding and proficiency in this area. It offers a thorough examination of human anatomy, with a specific focus on and their depiction in drawing. Students will have the opportunity to refine their drawing techniques and observational skills, incorporating established art academy methods such as the Frank Reilly technique and Sight-size method, along with mastery in the use of light, shadow, and defining edges. By the end of the course, students will be able to produce sophisticated figure drawings and deepen their appreciation of the aesthetics of the human form. Students who successfully complete the course assessment are eligible to apply for a Certificate of Completion from the School.
