On behalf of the Conference Committee, I am delighted to welcome you to join the CUSCS Golden Jubilee Conference: Lifelong Education and Career Development that will take place on July 7 2015 at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

As we celebrate our 50^th anniversary in 2015, the School is launching a variety of new certificate and diploma award programmes as well as this conference focusing on lifelong education and career development. We trust that CUSCS is a particularly appropriate place to celebrate these two themes. Understanding the need and importance of career planning – an ongoing process of discovery that spans across all life stages – we have introduced a professional programme Global Career Development Facilitator which leads to GCDF certification by the National Board for Certified Counselors. More than 180 professionals from the fields of education, administration and management, human resources, training, and the helping professions have finished the course. In the light of this, it seems that the conference is an excellent site to provide a timely platform to nurture a continuous dialogue of lifelong education and career development.

We hope that participants with diverse background, interests and experiences will engage themselves in a free and open exchange in their own professional capacities. We have also prepared conference lunch that would allow you to reacquaint with colleagues and establish new networking opportunities.
