Objectives
The workplace landscape is constantly changing, and yet it is still crucial for stakeholders at different levels to gain key understanding of some fundamental concepts of workplace psychology, including the organization structure, leadership, decision-making, change management, group work, emotional intelligence, and communication, in order to cope with constant changes within and facing an organization. It is through a solid understanding of the basics of workplace psychology that leaders, managers, and working individuals can integrate and apply relevant theories and concepts to build a safe and healthy working environment that supports mental health and wellbeing.
The programme is designed to provide students with a holistic view and a fundamental understanding of the different dimensions and aspects of the workplace from the social and psychological perspective of human behaviour. It aims to equip students with evidence-based theoretical knowledge and concepts in workplace psychology, functions and processes in relation to them, and provide a hands-on approach to building facilitative workplace relationships across teams and generations. This programme also stresses the idea that stakeholders at different levels in an organization play a part in workplace mental health and well-being in the midst of evolving trends in the world of work.
