1 Objective
This Programme aims to achieve the following objectives:
1. provide participants with knowledge in the pre-production, production, and post-production operations of digital videos;
2. assist participants to apply the skills of digital video production across a range of work settings, e.g. serving individual clients, independent production, or businesses;
3. expand the skill set of participants so as to better meet market demands in advertising, marketing, mass media, social media, or public relations.

2 Content
1. Concepts of Video Production
This module aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills of producing digital images and videos with reference to the positions/roles, procedures, and logistics of the digital video production process. Techniques of video production management and development of co-ordination skills with production crew members will also be covered.
2. Video Production Processes
This module aims to introduce to participants the necessary equipment, both hardware and software, for the production of digital videos. It will also assist them to explore the techniques of shooting videos of a more professional nature with a focus on developing their creativity.
3. Video Editing and Special Effects
This module aims to assist participants to understand the current technologies and techniques in digital image and video processing. They will study the steps in the post-production process, i.e. from production to the making of final master copy for distribution. The skills of data storage and creating deliverables will also be covered.
Main Software Used: Premiere Pro and After Effects

3 Assessment
Assignment, Presentation, Project, Class Participation
4 Award of Certificate
To qualify for the award of 'Certificate in Digital Video Production', students are required to have an attendance rate of 70% or above in each course and have passed the assessments of each course.
5 Continuing Education Fund
This course has been included in the list of reimbursable courses under the Continuing Education Fund. This course is recognised under the Qualifications Framework (QF Level 3).
