Course Description

Nowadays, people have more opportunities to speak in front of a group of audience.

They may be speaking to a group of people in social occasions or workplaces, such as hosting an event, emceeing at annual dinner or presenting a welcoming speech on behalf of the team.

In this course, participants will be able to explore the different concepts of verbal and nonverbal expressions, including different conversational styles for formal and informal presentations.
Participants are expected to learn the presentation skills to perform themselves and engage with the audiences in public speaking situations and social groups.

Course Syllabus

Participants will learn the English communication techniques to convey messages effectively to different groups of audience in specific occasions:

- Opening Ceremony – mastering effective ways to capture audience attention, verbally and nonverbally via good preparation skills, expand the vocabulary through discussing the topics of team rehearsal, staying in focus, choosing the right attire, etc.

- Professional emcee training – mastering effective script writing, presenting your on-stage personality and showing your stage presence, communicating with live audience who are there in person and online, etc.

- Hosting workshops – preparing and asking significant questions, leading informal discussions, organizing different opinions and presenting ideas in the concluding session, time management techniques, etc.
