Wireless Network Services (To be ready by October 2009)
Introduction
We are providing wireless network services in the learning centers at Central (Bank of America Tower) and Tsim Sha Tsui (Oriental Centre and East Ocean Centre), and Mong Kok (Mong Kok Learning Centre). Students can use their network login account and password to access the wireless network at our learning centers.

Eligibility
Every SCS Full-time student who has a network login account. No registration is required.
SSID
An SSID is the public name of a wireless network. The SSID for SCS full-time students is "CUguest" and each student can connect to this wireless network with his/her wireless devices (e.g. notebook computer, PDA, Smart Phone, etc.) by logging in with his/her network account and password.
Your WiFi Login Username
Your login username would be your network user account + "@scs.cuhk.edu.hk", for example, if your network user account is 30001234, then your WiFi login username would be 30001234@scs.cuhk.edu.hk and the password is the same as the password of your network user account.
Simple Login Procedures
First of all, you will need a portable device that is WiFi compatible (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n standards), such as laptop computer, PDA or smart phone, then you can follow the below procedures to connect to the SCS WiFi network:
1. Turn on your device and search for the Network IDs (SSIDs).
2. Select your SSID to "CUguest" and click Connect.
3. Open your Internet browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) and you will be redirected to the login page.
4. Enter your login username (e.g. 30001234@scs.cuhk.edu.hk) and password to login to the network.
5. You can now start your free Web surfing, enjoy!!
