Access To CUHK's University Library System (ULS)
Introduction
SCS full-time students are eligible to enjoy the Library services provided by the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Each student will be provided with a CUHK library card for him/her to borrow books and use the library services at CUHK libraries.
Where To Access The E-Resources of The Library System?
Due to license agreement, most of e-resources and e-database must be accessed through SCS's campus network, i.e. SCS students can only use the computers at different learning centers to access the library e-resources. For location and opening hours of such computer facilities at different learning centers, please see the Computer Facilities and Resources Section. Besides, SCS student can also use the computers at CUHK library to access the e-resources.

How To Access The University Library System?
Within CUHK's campus network, SCS students can access most e-resources without further authentication. However, there are still certain cases that you will need to login with your Library Account and Password, e.g. your library records under the Library Catalogue, some restricted e-resources and access to workstation with Smart Card Reader at CUHK Library.

After set up your ID and password, you will be able to access the ULS with any computer that is connected to the CUHK networks.
