Programme Objectives

In this age of globalization, individuals can no longer focus on a single discipline. The Higher Diploma (HD) Programme in Corporate Management and Business Information Systems is thus designed to provide a multi-discipline study. Students will be equipped with sound knowledge of corporate management and strong information technology (IT) skills to cope with the ever changing needs of competitive businesses. The programme provides a strong foundation in aspects of corporate law and accounting, economics, business administration, marketing and management with broad-based IT and communication skills. These elements are essential for modern corporations and effective career development. This would make the business/IT hybrid professionals the most sought after employees in today's competitive market.

The objectives of this programme are:

To provide students with concrete knowledge of corporate management for effective and efficient management of a corporation;
To provide students with the knowledge of management and organization practices in the foreground of Business Information Systems; AND
To prepare students for careers and further studies in related fields.
