Owing to the rapid development of large estates and high-rise buildings with advanced facilities over the past years, property and facilities management has become one of the largest employers in the service sector in Hong Kong. Today, contemporary property and facilities managers are required to be equipped with knowledge of a vast array of skills and responsibilities to handle a multitude of complex problems and challenges. To support the drive to boost Hong Kong's competitiveness in the knowledge-based economy, our School has developed the Higher Diploma Programme in Integrated Property and Facilities Management to enable secondary graduates to become multi-disciplinary managers/practitioners in operations and management of commercial buildings, housing and industrial estates, resort and recreation clubs, real estates and property agencies.
The programme objectives are:
To render students good appreciation of business and administration which will in turn provide a sound academic and vocational foundation for a career in properties related businesses; |
To help students achieve specialisation by integrating business education with estates operations, building technology and services, facilities design, planning, development as well as information technology; |
To prepare students for further studies in related fields. |
