The Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP) is a means-tested financial assistance scheme administered by the HKSAR Government Student Financial Assistance Agency (SFAA). The scheme aims to assist needy students in paying tuition fees and academic expenses.
SCS Full-time students aged 25 or below pursing "Higher Diploma" are eligible for assistance under the scheme. The maximum level of grant under FASP is made up of two components: the annual tuition fee payable for the accredited programme subject to a ceiling (The ceiling for the 2007/08 academic year will be $57,520) and academic expenses grant up to $3,050 (to be reviewed annually)
The Non-means Tested Loan Scheme for Post-secondary Students (NLSPS) provides financial assistance in the form of loan to eligible students covered under the FASP to meet their tuition fees, academic expenses and basic living expenses. The maximum financial assistance under the NLSPS is capped at the annual tuition fees payable for the course under application and academic expenses of HK$3,050 plus an NLSPS loan to cover basic living expenses.
