Step 1: You can choose to fill out an enrolment form or register online
Enrolment forms are obtainable
(1) from Enrolment Centres or Head Office; or
(2) by online download (www.scs.cuhk.edu.hk); or
(3) via fax at 2367 2593 / 3110 0611

At present, our Online Enrolment System is dedicated to provide enrolment support to our General Courses and Higher Diploma Programmes ONLY. This service will be extended to Award Bearing Programmes at a later stage.

SAVE TIME FOR SCS Alumni - To take advantage of their enrolment records, SCS Alumni do not need to fill in but just check or update their personal particulars upon enrolment at counter via Express Line.

Step 2: Return of enrolment materials
Please complete the correct enrolment form and send copies of supporting documents (if specified) and cheque / bank draft / bank receipt (if any) to one of the Enrolment Centres or Head Office in person or by mail (please mark "Enrolment Form" on the envelope). An application will be processed only upon receipt of the completed enrolment form, copies of supporting documents (if specified) and payment.

(1)

Return of enrolment materials on or before the Closing Date (i.e. 10 calendar days before course commencement date)

EARLY ENROLMENT IS ENCOURAGED - In general, enrolment for many SCS courses (especially General Courses) is made on a first-come-first-served basis, provided the admission requirements are met and when there is no restriction on class size. It is our performance pledge that in return to those who can complete the enrolment procedures before the Closing Date, we undertake to confirm these prospective students' enrolment status 4 calendar days prior to course commencement (subject to special arrangement for long holidays such as Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year and Easter).

(2)

Return of enrolment materials after the Closing Date

If for some reasons you have missed the CLOSING Date, you are advised to take the following course of actions:

(a) You should ascertain from SCS staff via phone or email to see if there are still vacant places. Late enrolment cannot be entertained if the course concerned is already full.
(b) Upon ascertaining (a), the SCS staff will advise you to make your cash payment via a banking outlet of Hang Seng Bank (excluding Hang Seng Bank at MTR Station), and to visit one of our Enrolment Centres to return the enrolment materials as well as the bank receipt, before the course commencement date.
(c) For those completing the enrolment procedure after the Closing Date, our pledge to confirm their enrolment status 4 calendar days before class commencement will not be applicable. These applicants will normally receive their receipt and attendance permit etc during a class meeting as early as possible.

Step 3: Issue of receipt and attendance permit

(1)

Receipt and Attendance Permit will normally be sent before course commencement but SCS will not be responsible for any loss of Receipt and Attendance Permit dispatched by regular mail. You can request for a Receipt and Attendance Permit to be sent by registered mail to a local address of your choice at a fee of $25 per copy. If you do not receive the above 4 calendar days prior to course commencement date (or during a class meeting as early as possible for late enrolment), please check with the Enrolment Section at 2209 0290 or the respective programme staff.

(2)

Request of additional Receipt or Attendance Permit: there is an administrative charge of HK$50 on every request for an additional copy of the receipt or Attendance Permit.

Step 4: To be present for classes
Unless otherwise notified, applicants are expected to be present for class at the time and place indicated in the Prospectus. For General Courses, no separate letter of acceptance will be issued.
