Special Notice

 

The School of Continuing and Professional Studies of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUSCS) will undergo system upgrade on 3 October 2020 (Saturday). Limited services on over-the-counter enquiries will be provided at Learning Centres, while enrollment and payment services will be suspended. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

 


 

In line with the CUHK announcement on latest development of the pandemic situation, CUSCS will take necessary measures to return to full operation gradually.
 

  • Higher Diploma and Diploma in Foundation Studies Programmes – All classes will be conducted online.  Face-to-face class delivery will be resumed when the pandemic stabilizes and situation permits.
     
  • Part-time Professional and Continuing Education Programmes – Face-to-face class delivery will be resumed by phase from 31 August 2020.  Instructors and students will be contacted individually for details.
     
  • CUSCS Learning Centres – The operating hours for over-the-counter enquiries and enrollment services will resume to normal from 31 August 2020.  Please check here for details. 
     

For protection of health of students and staff, users of CUSCS Learning Centres are required to observe the COVID-19 monitoring measures. Users are required to wear a face mask, perform temperature screening and use hand sanitizer when entering the Learning Centres.   Individuals under compulsory quarantine or with respiratory infection symptoms should stay home.

CUSCS應用日語高級文憑學生到訪宮崎兄弟資料館,認識九州地區的歷史與文化

實習能讓學生走出課室,獲取工作經驗,有助規劃日後的發展方向。11位應用日語高級文憑學生於今年暑假,踏上日本九州展開兩個多星期的交流與實習。每位同學獲安排到不同的機構工作,如酒店和城市規劃公司等,從中實踐所學,拓闊視野。 

 

其中一位學生陳裕桐於當地一間城市規劃公司擔任實習生,負責更新公司網頁與日語翻譯。「實習期間,我以外國人角度去拍攝當地的景點,捕捉風土人情。日本人細細道來當地建築的每一磚、每一瓦,加深我對日本傳統文化的了解。」裕桐直言實習加強她翻譯日語的水平、與人溝通的技巧,而意料之外的是了解更多當地的人文風俗。 

 

另一位學生簡穎昕則獲派到福岡海鷹希爾頓酒店實習,主要在酒店大堂解答客人的各種疑難。「由於酒店的住客多為日本居民,我時常跟他們溝通,說起日語來,自然能琅琅上口。除了日語水平有進步,我對酒店行業更有初步的認知,從擔任大堂的親善大使,以至為客人送上行李,都讓我對這份工作大開眼界。」 

 

是次交流實習活動由日本九州大學舉辦,11位應用日語學生除能賺取工作經驗,亦到訪宮崎兄弟資料館及舊吉原家住宅,了解更多九州地區的建築文物與歷史文化。他們更有機會體驗日本茶道、剪紙藝術,為實習生活增添色彩。 

 

香港中文大學專業進修學院致力推動全人教育,舉辦多元活動,讓學生走出課室,透過海外交流與工作實習,擴闊視野,實踐所學。
