For Parents in the Families. For Love and Joy to Grow.

Nurturing children to become responsible and respectful persons seems no easy task to many parents, but this need not be the case. Based on the works of Alfred Adler, Rudolf Dreikurs, Jane Nelsen, and Lynn Lott, the Positive Discipline (PD) model aims at developing mutually respectful relationships between parents and children by following a few key principles and using role plays and a wide, flexible range of tools.

Some key Positive Discipline (PD) beliefs:

  • Kindness and firmness at the same time

  • Shaping of independent, self-confident, self-disciplined and caring individuals

  • Children do better when they feel better, aiming at longer-term development of their character and life skills

  • Mistakes are best opportunities to learn

  • Connection before correction
