What is Distance Learning in general?

"Distance Learning" is flexible and convenient. Students are not required to be in classrooms with instructors; rather they can study from a location of their choices e.g. in their homes or at their workplaces. The channel of instruction can be classic correspondence, remote instruction or a combination of both. New modes of deliveries such as web-based conferencing, distributed learning and so on have made DL a new and enjoyable experience. DL transcends the limitations of time and space. Students could even benefit from programmes offered across the continents simply by studying at their home bases.
